Heading to the birthing center now. Contractions are 2-5 minutes apart and lasting 50 seconds to 1 minute 12 seconds.

One day until my birthday... One day until my due date... I'm starting to have this sudden feeling of dejavu. I don't wanna have another over due baby. T_T Sascha was a month over due. He was a few ounces shy of 10 pounds. Wah! Tuesday, January 1st, is my due date/birthday. January 7th is Kai's birthday. She better be out before his birthday! Every time I have a contraction I get excited and hope I'm finally going into labour. It's incredibly disappointing when I don't. I'm trying so hard to be patient, to just wait and let it happen, but my gosh it's impossible not to think about it and hope.
I'm feeling better. My ear is much better. I've had a few pretty bad nose bleeds however. Which brings me to the realization that Sascha is incredibly crazy... and maybe a little morbid. I woke up from a nap today greeted by a lovely nosebleed. It was pretty bad. Sascha came into the front room shortly after it started bleeding. He started to ask me something about dinner then stops in mid sentence and says "Mommy... Is your nose bleeding?" and I respond with "Just a little bit..." he says "Neat! I'm gonna come watch, this is gonna be neat!" and I say "Oh yeah, SO neat...". So it keeps bleeding, then stops but my nose hurts and it feels like something is stuck in my nose, so I blow my nose and this huge, incredibly gross blood clot/bloody mucous thing comes out. Sascha's response? "Ew, that's so kewl!" to which I told him he was morbid and sent him to his room to play. -.- I wonder what he's going to grow up to do. He's a strange one.
Anyways. My ear is doing much better, it's still tender but in no where near the amount of pain it was the other day. I have a hard time laying down though. My lungs feel heavy and full and it's hard for me to breathe. My lungs have been congested for a few days, and I've been coughing up gunk, but they don't hurt. The glands around my jaw and neck are incredibly tender and achy. I just feel kinda crappy in general. I've been taking lots of herbs and pretty much anything I can to get over this as soon as possible.
I have discovered Simply Apple! The yummiest apple juice on earth. Seriously. It's made by the Simply Orange company. They have tasty orange juice as well. But the apple juice is so good. I have a terrible time buying apple juice because it always upsets my stomach, is too sweet and they usually give Kai a migraine. However the Simply Apple was super tasty, not too sweet, didn't upset my stomach and didn't bother Kai either. Even Sascha liked it. :) I now have an addiction to it. >_> They must put crack in it or something because I can't get enough of it. My mom brought us a bottle the other day and it was gone in less than a day. I even diluted it a little with water just to make it last a little longer. It's super yummy. I must have more!
The situation with Kai and his job is apparently over and solved? When Kai went back to work he found out that Brian had pissed a lot of employees off including other supervisors. He apparently went off on a lot of employees for no reason, which resulted in a few calls to HR, including Kai. The following day HR called and had a talk with him. He responded by bringing in all of his employees and apologizing to all of them. He told Kai he was never actually demoted and was still supervisor. When Kai went back to work though he was told that there was no supervisor anymore. So who knows. But he has his job back, he's supervisor once again. Woo. Brian's excuse was something about being stressed out with the holidays. So he took it out on his employees. That's nice. As if NO ONE else was stressed. -.- Hello Kai has been sick which means he doesn't make money which means we have a hard time paying the bills we already have a hard time paying. So Brian decides to call Kai while he's sick and stress us out more by telling him he's demoted. Pffft. That makes sense. Oh well. At least it's solved and everything is fine. For now anyways.
In conclusion I have only one thing to say. SOME ONE SAVE ME AND MAKE ME GO INTO LABOUR! PLEASE! @_@ Pretty Please? Oh and make me well. Hope everyone has a nice New Year! :)

Holy mother of miserable... So I ended up getting pink eye... In my left eye. Which only lasted a little over a day, when it switched to my right eye last night. Now my left eye is cleared up, my right eye is still swollen, and my freaking left ear is plugged and in SO much pain. I can't hear out of it at all, and it hurts SO bad. If I cough, or hiccup, or burp or anything it sends horrible shooting pain into my ear on top of the already nauseating pain. Ugh. I had to cancel my prenatal appointment yesterday because I woke up with pink eye. My earache started today, randomly around 11am.
Apparently a lot of people in the area are getting the same thing, right down to the pink eye and earaches. What the heck is going on! My mom found out from the restaurant next door that it's been spreading like wild fire and people have been getting super sick with it. Which explains why Kai has been sick for so long. I'm glad it wasn't just us. I hadn't heard of anyone else with these symptoms.
All I know right now is that I am miserable and my head is killing me. My ear hurts so bad that it's making me nauseas. I'm about ready to pack up some travel gear and run away. Too bad you can't out run an ear infection, thing, whatever this is. Hopefully everyone else is doing well.
My birthday is Tuesday. I was hoping I'd have the baby by then. Right now however, I just hope I'm not still sick. My prenatal appointment was re-scheduled for Monday at 5pm. Will probably have to leave early because I'm sure there's going to be a boat load of traffic.

AUGH! The washing machine is broken... First the dishwasher, now the washing machine. What gives? I put in a small load of laundry earlier yesterday to wash. I asked Kai last night/early this morning if he could put it in the dryer for me... Then he tells me there's something wrong with the washer, because my clothes are in a tub of water and it won't turn on... So I go in there and reset it, put it on spin, and nothing. I even tried unplugging it and plugging it back in but it won't work. It just sits there with "6 Min" lit up. Soo. I guess Wednesday, one of us, most likely Kai will have to go to the office and submit a work order. Maybe we can ask them to fix the dishwasher at the same time. >_> Yep it's still broke. Been doing dishes by hand. It hasn't been a priority with everything else going on. The washing machine however, that's a biggie. I need to be able to do laundry, especially Kai's work clothes. Ugh! Bad washing machine!
Anyways. It's 4am... I haven't slept yet. But Kai is out and so is Sascha. Sascha woke up about an hour ago coughing, so I gave him some medicine and some Emergen-C and sent him back to sleep. I'm surprised he didn't ask about Santa or his presents. I'm wondering when he'll wake up for presents. He was all excited when I told him tomorrow was Christmas when I sent him to bed. First thing out of his mouth was "Ooo can I open my presents in the morning?" hehehe I told him in the morning he could, and he went straight to sleep. He should have fun opening them. :) My dad and Jeannie sent a lot for him, his dad and Diana left some for him when they were here, and we got him a couple of things from us and Santa. Hopefully I'll get some pictures. No promises, but I'll try.
Kai's dad sent him a $250.00 gift certificate via email for amazon.com so we're gonna get a new vacuum cleaner. :) We talked about it and both agreed it would be money well spent, especially since we need one, and who knows when we would get the money to buy one. So thanks for the new vacuum Greg! Kai's mommy called Friday I think? I'm not sure anymore the days have been running together. They had a nice talk, when they were done Kai told me to email his mom something I wanted from amazon, but I had no clue. I looked but I couldn't really find anything I wanted, then I forgot to email her and tell her. Oopsy! Sorry Jamie!
So I guess I'll go continue crocheting and wait for Sascha to wake up, then wake Kai up. He's feeling better. He still looks like he's high as a kite, but his eyes aren't seeping mucous anymore. I'm hoping by some miracle he'll wake up well in the morning. He's supposed to work tomorrow and has missed almost the whole week. I'm concerned about them letting him go. He keeps telling me it'll be fine, he has a dr's note, but still. I'm paranoid. I don't want him to get in trouble, even though he obviously can't help being sick. So everyone send him positive energy to get better! He needs it!

Aahhhh. In twenty minutes I'll be 39 weeks along. That's just crazy. Oy. Everyone needs to get well so I can go into labour illness free. Go go go get better! I think I'm getting cabin fever, or something. I'm so tired of resting and being inside, yet I feel like poo and am sick and need to rest. What a dilemma. At least my feet haven't decided to swell and my headaches have been pretty much nonexistent for a couple of days, AND I haven't needed to take any Tylenol today, or yesterday I think. I haven't checked my blood pressure in a couple of days, but the last few times I checked it previously it was normal. So woo. Now if my body would actually go into real labour one of these times I have painful contractions. That'd be nice. Argh. I want to go into labour now! But I also want to be well when I go into labour!
The flu faerie needs to land on my shoulder and wave her magic wand and make me sick free, then the labour faerie needs to tap on my uterus and tell it to GO!

Holy moly. Being sick during the holidays sucks. I am incredibly miserable today. My dad called to see if the food package they sent us came... It's a tradition for my dad and Jeannie to send us a "Care Package" every Christmas. It usually consists of different cheeses, salami, summer sausage, jalopenos and various cookies/candies/goodies. Anyways, it hasn't come yet, will probably get here after Christmas, and my dad said I sounded like I had a frog stuck in my throat. I told him it was a horse and Llama. We've been consuming lots of herbs, and Emergen-C packets and various other things trying to get well. Whatever this is, it just wants to hang around. -.- At least Sascha is improving greatly and doing much better. His coughing is almost nonexistent, fever has been gone for awhile now, his congestion is better and it appears that all redness/swelling/mucous is gone from his eyes. I'm glad he's better. It's harder for me when he's sick versus us, because he doesn't quite grasp the concept of rest and such. So I have to fight him to rest and lay still to get better.
Tomorrow is Christmas Eve dinner at my mom's. Here's to hoping we're well enough to go, and don't get anyone else sick in the process! :sick: How's everyone else doing? Hopefully you all are feeling much better! :)
Finally finished Fumiko's blanket. :) It's white with a pinkish multi coloured border. I am quite proud of my first blanket.
The blanket I started for Sascha a few nights ago. :) I'm on the fourth row. So far it hasn't taken me long to crochet what I have done.

You know one thing that's gone back to normal recently, my bowels! I'm so relieved and grateful that things are back to normal. That was one of the hardest things I had to deal with from the beginning of my pregnancy. I have to go to the bathroom on a regular basis, I just have to, it's not normal for me not to. Especially when one goes from going 3-5 times daily to once or twice a week. That's just torture. Unfortunately for most of my pregnancy I was one of those people where nothing helped this issue. No stool softener, laxative or colon cleanse would help. It was a pain in the butt, literally! I'm not really sure when things started going back to normal, but man am I happy about it.
Now I just have to be patient for everything else to go back to normal. Yep I keep telling myself that, and it still doesn't get any easier. I'm fast approaching my original due date of January 01, 2008. That's what, 8 days away? Come out little baby! Did I mention I put up the closet organizers in her closet and got everything put away and organized? Well I did. Now everything has a place and doesn't have to go in the stinky, funky dresser.
